Join a focused, one-hour breastfeeding session for practical insights on expectations, proper latching techniques, recognizing positive progress, and knowing when to seek assistance. Available both online and at the clinic for your convenience.

During this 90-minute session, our focus will be on thoroughly evaluating your newborn's mouth and ensuring a proper latch onto the breast. We will closely observe a breastfeeding session, offering guidance as needed. Additionally, we'll discuss the mother's diet during breastfeeding, addressing the potential need for supplements for either mom or baby. To provide a holistic overview, we'll conduct a comprehensive checkup on your baby, assessing growth and addressing any queries or concerns you may have. This may be done in the hospital or at the clinic.

During our 30-minute chat, we'll cover topics such as expressing and storing breast milk, the ideal time to start pumping, and techniques for providing your baby with breast milk. Additionally, we'll determine your flange size to ensure a proper fit.

In the first 10 days after birth, we offer a one-hour newborn check with Sr Sally, a Registered Nurse, Midwife, and Lactation Consultant. We can also arrange an assessment by our in-house Chiropractors (Dr Jacqui/Dr Kate). During this thorough examination, we evaluate your baby’s growth, conduct weight measurements, and assess feeding challenges. We'll also establish healthy awake times and provide guidance on breastfeeding, including latch techniques and dietary advice for both mother and baby. This holistic approach ensures the well-being of both baby and parent, fostering a supportive environment during those crucial early days.

Weekly assessments occur from birth to 6 weeks, transitioning to monthly check-ins until your baby turns 1 year of age. During these consultations, we'll carefully weigh and measure your baby, charting their growth on a growth chart. We'll cover topics such as milk and/or solid feeding, food textures, normal sleep patterns, appropriate awake times, age-specific developmental milestones, stimulation ideas, and address any general queries you may have regarding your baby.

No government stock is available at the moment. Consultation fees are R450-R550, and vaccination prices range from R300 to R1100 each. Please enquire with Sr Sally. During these appointments, we'll review your baby's medical and birth history, conduct precise measurements of weight and height, discuss milk feeding and routines, assess developmental milestones, perform a thorough physical examination, and administer essential vaccinations. This holistic session covers various aspects of your baby's growth and provides necessary safeguards against potential health risks.
